    cut the hate speech

  2. Valerija says:

Croatians do not belong at the great World Cup in South Africa. Ustaše.

  3. Lola says:

It’s shaping up to be a wonderful world cup. But I’m keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that Argentina and ROI both qualify.
    BTW I love your blog!

Actually, Honduras is a very good team and this was the first time they’d lost at home in like 2 or 3 years. I barely managed to get into a bar in San Francisco… the struggle to watch the US qualifier was a story in itself.
Sadly, our unlikely hero (Connor Casey) isn’t exactly objectification material. My little girl’s birthday party was on Saturday afternoon, so I was unable to watch any other games =(

  6. Boston Red says:

Thank you for the close up on Richard Dunne’s seriously hot body!! A heartbreaker for my Green Army, but they’ll pull through in the play-offs!

I am so happy that Germany and US qualified! And with the Argentina and Portugal win.

MEXICO, OH si c*****es NOS VAMOS AL MUNDIAL, so happy that Mexico won! So happy that they qualified to the WC.

    Germany, OOOOOHHHHHHYYYYYEEEEEEEESSSSSSS!

Unfortunately, it was streams or replays for the games here. No Iker for Spain, but THE RAMOS was full of sexy in the rain. On replay day, I saw lots more sexy. From Gila's crazy hair and Robbie Keane's tats to Mutu whining and Chivu pouting to Vidic bleeding and Ivanovic's running with his fantastic bum, I can't complain at all. Oh and USA USA USA!

Glad USA AND Germany qualified, yay! As well as the Ivory Coast. Good on Denmark, though I'm gutted Croatia didn't make it through.

I vote that since it's currently going into summer in South Africa, the qualifications on Wednesday be played shirtless. I'm sure it would triple the viewers.

thank God Denmark qualified:D good win for Spain, but i'm not sure if nando's injured :( . But denmark qualified!!! hope portugal don't *laughs evilly*

    • Riya says:

Haha I hope Portugal doesn't quality too :)

And yay for Denmark! Dagger kept Ibra in check all match. Hopefully he'll be fit to start for us 'pool fans soon!

  12. So far, it looks like a fantastic group of teams progressing through to SA! Really proud of England, despite the dodgy outing on Saturday, and I’m thrilled for Nemanja Vidic and Serbia. Really pulling for the Boys in Green to come through the play-offs. Can’t say I’ll miss any of the teams that haven’t qualified, except Scotland and Northern Ireland.

It was a glorious day to be American! USA! USA! USA!

And Cheers to the Hond. fans who did not boo the American national anthem and gave the American boys a standing round of applause after our win. Way to be classy!

It was also a blast being 1 of 5 girls in a bar celebrating with 200+ male fans. It was perfect!

  14. Sarah says:

Wahey USA! We weren't exactly commanding in our win, but hey we made it so I can't complain!! :D Can't wait for next summer, it'll be the first WC that I will be home for since I've started caring about footie so I'll (hopefully) be able to watch every match.

  15. Venice says:

    Yeah, meep (I guess) :-(

Oh well. Onwards and upwards from here. It'll be the first World Cup that we're going to miss, which is good stats for a small footballing nation like us. We'll regenerate and go back to being made of win, just like we did in 2006. There are some exciting young players coming that I expect to be introduced to the team within the next couple of years.

Thanks to everyone who supported us, I'm sure we'll repay you soon enough.

Good luck to the WC participants, I hope for an exciting competition and of course, I already have my favs :-D

    • Liz (Mrs. Vucinic) says:

Boo, I wanted you all to make it. I don't think I've ever watched a boring Croatian match (though perhaps I've been lucky?).

    • Sarah says:

Aww, I'm sorry Ven. :( You know how much I like you guys. I'm so sad that Eduardo especially has to miss another international competition, poor guy. But I know you'll be back and better than ever soon!

I hope the mighty (hah) USA is on your list of favs! Heehee.

  16. Riya says:

USA!!! Glad they qualified. Not a great showing against Honduras, but they got the win. Really respect the Honduras fans for their class. Very nice.

Love the England lads but seriously, that match wasn't so great. And Stevie G has a groin injury…I'd help with any massage for that. :)

So happy Spain won. As they should've. Wasn't quite as powerful a performance as I was expecting but that wasn't really their best team playing anyways. Nando looked particularly sexy in that Spain kit this weekend.

  17. Baby Freya says:

England were fail, especially Rio with his mistake that ended up getting Green sent off. But the crazy fans trying to set fire to the team didn't really help and we've qualified so if there is ever a time to screw up, when we're safe is the best time to do it.

I hope that by some miracle Croatia qualify for the World Cup. I just love their cute, Niko Kranjcar-esque team!

  18. Dreamgirl says:

Congratulations to all the teams that qualified already. England thankfully didn't have to rely on this particular match. The lads battled along with ten men and 8 wins out of nine is a record anyone can be proud of.

I only need Ireland in the mix now and my WC viewing pleasure will be guaranteed.
