We weren’t able to catch the game last night but watching the highlights it certainly seemed a fabulously Scoustastic goal scoring event out there.
What did you think of the game? Did Capello make the right squad choices?
Side note: You’ve got to give Rio Ferdinand his props. Right when the controversy about his WAG/WC ‘06 statements is raging, he takes off his shirt and makes it all better, reminding us of what is really important. There’s no better example of a man’s readiness to wear the captain’s armband and lead his (shirtless) squad to international victory than a rejection of base layers, dear readers.

Sorry, pics are huge and for some reason that one of him playing basketball came up with the torso shot. I must've done something wrong. Can't delete it because it's so big it covers the edit button so, enjoy Rio, playing ball in his shades.
Mmmm, that is delicious!! We need to start a petition to make it mandatory for all ballers to take off their shirt after every game, and to reject base layers completely!! Being a bit serious, well done to all the boys. Fantastic work by everyone, and gorgeous goals by Wayne and Stevie.
All is forgiven Rio as long as you follow this rule: Shirt off; mouth closed (That goes for any other players on any squad too); you get paid to be pretty, get sweaty, shirtless and hug…Remember that As for the match, I only saw the second half but they looked good, a little undisplined at times but not bad. Rooney's second goal was a thing of beauty.

Well done, boys! They were great yesterday! OK, so maybe "great" is an overstatement (particularly given the opposition), but they're getting the results and looking better and better. It's actually fun to watch England these days (and I'm actually not just watching for Stevie!)–who would have guessed?!
