Breaking News: Fernando Torres Marries Olalla Domingez
Hold on a second here.
Did Fernando Torres take himself off the market and marry long term girlfriend Olalla yesterday whilst the rest of us were busy in Champions League final anticipation?
That wiley boy. It would appear that he did.
Here’s what we know so far, as it is being reported in the Spanish media:
- The seven-months-pregnant bride wore – wait for it – a RED dress. As soon as we have photographic evidence, we will provide it.
- They got married at 14.00 local time, at El Escorial in Madrid
- The civil ceremony was presided over by councilman of the municipality Ignacio González Velayos
- Nando and O apparently changed their minds at the last minute. In February they were set to wed in Santiago de Compostela.
Wow. Good on you Nando for choosing a date when everyone was focused elsewhere. Your commitment to being normal and private is well impressive.
But, if you don’t mind, we’ll take a moment now to weep.

Update: Nando is so stealth this news has taken the Spanish media by surprise – none of them had the story last night, and we’re concerned there may not be photos of Olalla’s dress. Light a candle and pray for a fan with a camera phone.

That was a clip from an old cameo Nando did for a show in Spain. I think it’s a funny coicidence.Or who knows, it could be the actual reason..and plus red IS the colour for Atletico. Lol.

i check the site several times a day to see if there are any new updates. but today, it broke my heart everytime, to see those words at the top of the page.
i know they love each other. and they are football couple that every footballer wants. they both seem like such down to earth, genuine people.
im happy for fernando. im happy that he is happy, even if it does hurt to see him in love with someone else. i wish them both a lifetime of happiness and lots of cute, freckly baby nando’s and nadrino’s.

mrscudicini has my sentiments down exactly. it is ironic that she wore red and is pregnant on her wedding day. i REALLY want to see the dress, and also, i love nando in a suit! i think they’ll probably have a bigger wedding after the baby is born, hopefully the media will get it right that time!

Torres doesn't really do anything for me outside the pitch, but now I'm loving him and Olalla. Way to go Nando! First for being a man and actually marrying his baby mama which frankly most of these guys don't do (yes you Lamps and you Güiza to mention a few). Second, a civil seremony, the bride wore red and press not included. Good for them for keeping their lives on the down low.

I don't know what my problem is, but I saw "breaking news" and a pic of Olalla "not pregnant" and I immediately thought… OH SNAP SHE HAD THE BABY! Wasn't expecting this one, lol. You crazy kids! *squishes them* I love that they didn't marry in the usual circus way. It wouldn't have fit them very well. I hope this is true b/c I love the idea of it. Very romantic and badass. I can't help myself though, I want at least ONE pic of the two of them in their wedding clothes. Oh please!
