Weekend Results: Action in Spades

Phew! That was a seriously entertaining weekend of footy, no? The soccer-gods are obviously in the mood for love – as are Nico Anelka and Michael Ballack from Chelsea.
How were the results for you?
We sincerely hope you spent the entire weekend doing nothing but watching the games – if not, you missed a corker of a Manchester derby and a crazy game between West Ham and Liverpool. We’re sure many of you are several pounds lighter and/or heavier depending on your propensity to stress eat.
Other highlights? Jermaine Jenas’s abs; the return of The Ramos , the return of Iker’s facial hair, and John Terry stretching Georgie’s hamstring.
What did we miss in Serie A (besides the impressive man love shown by Daniele Dessena), Ligue 1, and the Bundesliga? Do tell.

Chelsea won, Werder Bremen tied at Leverkusen. I liked the first result and am okay with the second.
Well there was joy and there was sadness. Joy for my Blues. Joy for my Blancos. Sadness for my Viola. Asi es la vida.
This weekend was horrible results-wise. It was really really bad for me.
I’ll take Jenas and the Abs, thanks – bye.
It was definitley an exciting weekend. And I agree- there seemed to be an abundance of man-love all around. I strongly approve! There should be a minimum requirement of this sort of thing in every match! lol
And the pic of John and Georgie is adorable! Thank you!
WOW!! VIVA RONALDO..VIVA REAL MADRID..CRISTIANO RONALDO PROVED THAT HE IS THE BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD…AND HIS TOW GOALS WERE ADORABLE..AND I WANNA SAY CONGRATULATIONS FOR MY X-TEAM MANCHESTER UNITED FOR WINNING THE DERBY…
CHELSEA, RM *LOVE*
Aw JT’s little son, Can someone tell me his name? thanks
I cried a lot this weekend.
Let’s just move on, shall we?
<3 Iker- you knew I needed skin, bb.
The Real Madrid game was really an eye-opener for me. That facial hair and and funny hairdo (which looks like is only halfway done
) of Iker is simply to disguise the start of a balding spot
The man is probaply in the middle of an ageing crisis and wants to prove that his hair still grows. At least in the other side of is head.
I had some other theories from the games in the weekend also but they were not as good as this one. And considering that it’s better that I forget them alltogether before I accidentally blurt them out…
Michael Ballack scored. My weekend was made.
I could make a bad joke about “scoring” from that picture, but I’ll resist.
Aww, come on. You know we’d love it!
What a comeback that was from ARSENAL!!! So proud of the GUNNERS!!!! Derby match was exciting so glad Man U won and saddened that West Ham was so close to win the match…:( But the Liga was amazing!!! Ibra and Messi scored…VISCA el BARZA!!!
Chuffed that arsenal won, and i love new boy vermaelen….
there was alot of man love over the weekend RVP and vermaelens embrace was sooo sweet…..
The nearly accidental kiss between my boo torres and babel, when torres tried lifting babel and then embarcing him
The kiss between everton boys when yobo scored (saw the kiss last night on 2 good 2 bad-adrian chiles had me in stitches lols hes funny as hell)
The forehead kiss between micheal own and ferdinand when he scored the decisive goal i could go on
Love was defenitly in the air lol
THE MANCHESTER DERBY WAS A BRILLIANT GAME UNITED WERE ALL OVER CITY IN THE SECOND HALF THEY DESEARVED THE WIN, BERBATOV UNLUCKY TO GET A GOAL GIGGS & FLETCHER WERE BRILLIANT
X !
Manc derby was INSANE! Never have I been more stressed out about a game played between two sides I couldn’t care less about! Chelsea game was good if injury-filled and the Pool game nearly killed me several times over.
Georgie and JT = cuteness overload! He seems like such a good Daddy.
The Manchester derby was incredible…right to the wire, an awesome result.
AAWWWWW!!!! JT<3
so adorable!!!
love it n__n
Does anyone have the picture of RVP & Vermaelen man love(hugging) after scoring the first goal against Wigan?????
It was a very exciting weekend for sure. I’m chuffed about the Liverpool result – it was hard won, but Nando’s brilliance makes it all the sweeter. He’s back!
Wasn’t watching the Manchester derby so I didn’t get to see the controversy first hand, but apparently the refs were particularly poor this weekened.
I’m a little less pleased about the Tottenham result – Chelsea have gained momentum and it’ll be very tough to compete with them.
Also, Charlie had a bad day at the office and Niko was brought on very late, but at least I got to see his cute new haircut. And yeah, I think Jenas never ate a pie in his life!
I’m so happy ManU and Real won!!!!!
Cris scorring two goals were the hottest thing of the weekend!!!
and congrats to my new crush Benzema!!!!!!!
