Weekend Results: Good For You?
It’s Monday. Drinking time is still hours away. But at least we can reminisce on a pretty entertaining weekend of footy.
We were pleasantly surprised to see the delectable Thierry Henry back on UK shores – he was at the Emirates with his daughter Tea and girlfriend Andrea. His return coincided with Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas doing a hard core badge kissing display, which has prompting some to say this is a sign he is heading to Barca for certain.
We also very much enjoyed watching the TTO All Star game (aka Chelsea v Liverpool), renewed our appreciation for the sexy Vedran Corluka during the Bolton v Tottenham game, were riveted by the Man Utd v Sunderland match and spent a good 90 minutes of quality time appreciating Leonardo on the sidelines for Milan.
What was on your footy schedule this weekend? Hope you had a good one too!

My footy weekend was just awful. My poor Pool boys lost to damn Chelsea and it really made me feel so so sad for many days… Even though Nando had some great bithface, it was still just awful. And Man U didn’t lose although it was already looking so good…
Okay, at least I can be happy for Arsenal. Especially I can be happy for my Cescito, muchos gracias querido. <3 I just hope that badge kissing didn't mean that he's leaving The Gunners…
Not a good weekend…my headache was only compounded by Liverpool's loss…a game they clearly shouldn't have lost…siiiigghhh….
Chelsea won, what more do I need, lmao
Sad day to be a Real (and Kakà) fan but I'm glad Chelsea won!
I guess Kakà just misses CRon's flirtatious glances..
It was a beautiful weekend for Chelsea supporters!
I’m so upset this weekend it was bad for real madrid and manchester united so it’s bad for me..what have i done to get this bad weekend i think i’m gonna cry.
It was good! Some good results and some really visually attractive matches to watch
My footy weekend was good. Chelsea victory, but Real Madrid loss. However, Chelsea victory outweighs, so good weekend overall.
I am very unhappy with this weekend’s result. Liverpool lost, Drogba flopped around on the ground an unprecedented amount, and United managed to get a point that they didn’t deserve. I wish that I had been drunk at the time, then maybe I could have handled this tragedy.
It was a rollercoaster of crap & relief. Old Firm result = crap. Roma win = relief. Everyone and their grandmother are taken off injured = crap. Aquilani wasn't prematurely rushed back to availability = relief. Liverpool result = crap. Valencia win = relief.
Happy to see that Pompey finally won a game. Poor boys…
lets just say real really needs CRon to win…
kaka and raul were horrible! they didn't play at all!!!!!!!!!!!!
really bad sunday!!!
My team was not pretty to watch, but we scraped a point in an exciting bit of Fergie time. [wink]
I really enjoyed watching Arsenal play Rovers. Fantastic. And Cesc won me 16 fantasy points. [vbg]
My boys did it again, scoring 6 past blackburn, we need to work on our defence though cos its a bit shakey, cesc is a lil magician, sooo happy bendtner scored.
It was lovely seeing thierry there wiv his lil cute daughter.
Anither highlight seeing my boo, torres cussing and biting his bottom lip in frustration
hes sooo bloody gorgeous, sad they lost though should have been a draw
It was good!!! Pompey won :p nothing else matters..
Well maybee Nando lookin sad. And Cesc scoringg.
Haha, "hope you had a good one too", no way. I had to watch suffering Liverpool for a bit over 90 minutes and it was real torture almost all the time. My poor Pool boys, I really feel sorry for them.. :'(
Well, I'm glad there were at least some great bitchface from Nando, here's link to one: http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/match_pix/first/2009_10…
And I'm very proud of Arsenal boys, especially my Cesc, gracias querido. <3 I just hope so, so much that kissing the badge didn't mean he's leaving Arsenal…
Footie was fab this weekend! 6-2 with six different goal scorers.
Vermaelen continues to be made of win, Theo played for the first time in ages and managed to score, and Cesc was just absolutely brilliant all game. I love them all SFM. I think they were showing off for Titi. <3
couldn’t have said it better, great match..!! (:
I am drained from the weekend football. My team rocked up at the Emerates and dared to take the lead TWICE, this prompted much celebration from me and my friend (especially with My Dunny scoring the second!) then as punishment for daring to dream we could get a result we were inflicted to be on the recieving end of one of the greatest displays of football i have seen in my 28years(well ok 16 football watching years!) They were amazing, and i felt guilty for having a big old perv on Cesc as he was ripping my boys apart! I then had to contend with seeing Thierry so happy and his daughter so cute and then as i was watching the chelsea match i caught Nando biting his lip after missing a chance, this was all too much and i need a good week or so to recover!! Still love my boys and were very proud of them for the way they played but 6-2 hurt!!
woops didn't think the other one had posted!!! eash!!! see this is how drained i am!! xx
What a draining sunday afternoon, my team roll up at arsenal and dare to take the lead twice(cue muchos celebrations especially as my Dunny scored the second) then to punish us for dreaming that we might get a result, the most awesome display of football i have seen in my 28years, teamed with seeing the beautiful Theirry and gorgeous daughter, and then the cutest moment as i woke up from a small nap to catch Nando biting his lip durring the Chelsea match i was mentally exhausted, and only just about recovered now!!
Erm no, it was a really bad weekend results-wise. I couldn't watch the Liverpool match so I spared myself the frustration during the game. The result is still as bad as ever.
But Charlie and Niko both scored and I'm made up about that
and I'm glad you're warming up to Charlie, Kickette, he can be such a hunk… when he's shaved
Also, seeing Thierry was great – and apparently my Dad has a bit of a mancrush on him as well LOL
Omg my dad too, he was more excited than me seeing thierry henry lol
United managed to squeak out a point so all in all, I will take it. Best news for me though was the presence (and on TV evidence) of much missed Owen Hargreaves in the stands watching the team. Nothing else (almost!) matters…. *sigh*
Not a good weekend. Liverpool got beaten, Man U somehow managed to get a point and then Real lost despite Iker being at his his best. I'm need of more valium and Jack Daniels.
My fantasy team didn't do very well, but at least Chelsea won!
not good… I'm still drunk after Chelsea-Liverpool game… WTF is going on with the Reds? Can anyone explain?
Ugh. Ipswich Town in another extra time heart breaker. Manchester United in another extra time arse-saving. Cue much alcohol consumption.
I enjoyed this weekend's footie, my team Pompey FC won for the first time this season!
Although it was rather depressing watching all the former cute pompey players like Niko Krancjar, Glen Johnson and Sylvain Disitin displaying their hotness for other teams
The main Highlight had to be Nando Torres looking oh so sexy swearing during the TTO match!
Another portsmouth fan!! I thought i was the only one on kickette
Yes, us Pompey chicks need to stick together!! I am the only Pompey fan in Zambia, its a pretty lonely existence but i will perservere
! I was watching the Beeb this morning and I see we have another new owner! hopefully he wont be as stingy as Gaydarmak and the Al suli dude!! Play up pompey we can survive! we just need to start winning and sign talented and equally cute players!
Im a pompey fan too
We need to stick together
Yes we do!! Let’s hope things get better, at least theres a new owner now finally
It was so nice to see Henry there with his daughter!
As a United fan it was not an easy weekend.. we were lucky to pull off a draw. we played horribly .
Weekend football was crap. Sunderland didn't take all three points of Man U, Liverpool lost to those buggers down south and Rafa didn't sack zonal marking.
But Niko Kranjcar scored and looked cute. That is the only redeeming factor from this weekend.
