Weekend Results: Pushy and Unpredictable

Fight!

One of the maddest weekends of footy this year? Perhaps. Definitely one of the most dramatic.

Arsenal / Hull City non-stop handbags. Fulham beating Man Utd 3-0. Mark Hughes getting the sack. Liverpool losing to Portsmouth 2-0. Frank Lampard’s three-times-a-charm penalty kick.

Plus a bunch of other fantabulous stuff.

Didier, think of the children! You know, like Didier Drogba’s public change station. Tottenham’s Peter Crouch making a good case for his inclusion in the England squad whilst also looking like a banana peel. Birmingham City’s Cameron Jerome continuing to practice his stellar “bish, pls” face. And, this video of Kenwyne Jones celebrating his goal for Sunderland with a pole dance. (Sadly, he remained clothed.)

How was the weekend for you? Wacky? Wonderful? Pushy-Shovey? All of the aforementioned?

Thnx HG!

    Mh, my footie-weekend…

    - Real played well and won 6:0. Saw it live on the internet. The Ramos got only the yellow card. Xabi could not play, 'cause he got his fifth yellow card against Valencia. The only negative point. —> Positive.

    - Bremen lost against Hamburg. —> Very negative.

    - 'Pool lost versus Portsmouth. Mascherano got the red card. —> Distressing. I'm not sure that Rafa survives at least January. —> Very, very negative.

    - Arsenal won. —> Okay :)

    - ManU lost. Muhaha. —> Positive. Sorry ;D

    - WestHam – Chelsea 1:1. —> Uhh, positive :D

Oh. There are a load of teams I support. Mhh, never mind.

To sum up: a mixed up weekend with regard to the last games. :)

    Im a happy girl :)
I don’t care about any other team this week. Pompey Won and i met Torres!!!!!!!
    Good Timess

  3. Terrible footy weekend for me. Liverpool basically self-destruced. Sigh.

It was fun to see Nando all hot and bothered during the game though.

Well… I’m disappointed in Chelsea’s draw, but… gotta agree with TFO – you can’t say the Premier League hasn’t been interesting this year.

Am mega proud of Fulham. And Real Madrid, as far as that’s concerned.

So… all in all, guess my footy weekend was tolerable. Not the best, but by no means the worst.

    I’m just gutted. :-(
Losing to Benfica is the worst thing a Porto fan can experience. *cries*

Great weekend! Slowly but surely making up points. And the constant bitchfighting was hilarious. Arsenal and Hull City always make for an entertaining match!

arshavin needs to learn his place he should fight with little people such as liverpool’s defence apart from the centre backs. but i’m just angry ’cause i missed this “fight”

Newcastle is top of the table and 10 points clear….Dempsey had a brilliant game, so did DeMarcus Beesley. All in all great weekend

  9. No one can say the League isn't interesting this year. :D

I know that all of my Liverpool ladies can relate– this was a terrible weekend. Liverpool are hitting that form when they look like they might be comfortable in the Coca Cola Championship.

Didi looks good from behind, though.

    No problem Kickette ;)

horrifying weekend for me, both of my fav teams lost, not good for my health. i guess that little stuff like "Peter Crouch looking like a banana peel" made me feel better :P

I love it, itsy-bitsy Arshavin takes no sh!t from no one. Good on you, little one.

Liverpool imploded this weekend, luckily I didn't see it as I was busy being trapped in snow hell. So no, that definitely does not qualify as a good weekend. I, in fact, saw almost none of the footy this weekend, so now I'm having withdrawal symptoms and I can't wait for Christmas to be done with just to have football back again.

On the other side, Niko continues to be impressive for his side, making them score goals and bringing me FF points. And Charlie ditched the hairband and has a new haircut, I approve :-)

  14. Ella says:

Oh my God, Arshavin is all… flat in the front, if you know what I mean. Sorry for bringing that up… but he IS!

I have to tell you, I well and truly believe that John Terry or anyone else who features in the “tent shorts” posts on Kickette wears straps that don’t reflect reality. Football is a winter sport and makes for flat profiles if you don’t enhance.
