World Cup Merch We Love: The Dutchy Dress

We. Love. This. Dress.

It’s (quite obviously) for those that support The Netherlands, and it’s billed as the first official World Cup dress ever made. It was commissioned by Bavaria beer (mmm, beer) and designed by Super Trash.

This is a smashing idea for so many reasons:

-We know many Kickettes would love to look cute whilst supporting their team, and this is a helluva way to do it.

-They chose everyone’s favourite WAG, Sylvie van der Vaart to model it.

-Also, it costs under 10 euros. Someone give these people their “winners” badge so we can all go home.

In other Dutch WAG news, here’s Yolanthe Cabau van Kasbergen (Wesley Sneijder) in her Livera World Cup bikini courtesy of her own underwear line, Yolanthe’s Choice; and you can catch WAGs like Winona de Jong and Bouchra van Persie on their reality telly show, The Angels of Orange, where they’ll be building an SOS Children’s Village in Kenya.

Thanks Merel!

Orange is a tricky color, but my oh my, does she look good in that dress!! She would look good in whatever, though.

Another world cup merchandise that is very popular in my family is the dipers. Yes that´s right, Libero has a collection of "football dipers" that my 2 year old likes very much :)

  15. Ella says:

Cute dress, great price! I have to wonder if it's flattering on ALL body types, but maybe everyone there is tall, thin and fit! :-)

  16. Homeskillet17 says:

yeah….it's a great idea! really pretty! just….do people in the northern hemisphere know that it's winter in the southern hemisphere? and even though our winters are sunny-ish (mostly) it's still really cold….lol. but tis pretty :)

  17. Molly says:

I love the dress but I love the swimsuit even more!! There both very cute! I always loved the Dutch colour Orange…I wish England had a neat colour like that LOL :) !

  18. carly says:

What an excellent idea! It's a lovely dress but I still think it's way cooler to wear your team's shirt. Just because we're women it doesn't mean we have to be showing our assets all the time.

    • Merel says:

Out of test results it was proven that women here want to have their own attribute to support the national team. As the women get beer for the men and watch it, but have ill fitting men's shirt to wear. The dress is a gift send from God, I swear. It's super comfortable, sexy and is all orange. And that is all we Dutch supporters need.

      • carly says:

Yeah, I understand that too. It is a great looking dress and so affordable :)

      • C16 says:

Wait, you don’t have women’s jersey? That’s weird and sucks!!!

Anyways, I like it very much, it’s gorgeous but there’s no way I would go to a stadium wearing a dress; I’m the jumping up and down and kicking type so dresses aren’t very effective for me… :D

        • Merel says:

You will have to look everywhere to get them. Besides, you can wear this dress as a shirt and the back can also be worn as a front.

  19. Lola says:

Sylvie, you are clearly a wonderful, generous and loving person; so, in the spirirt of human kindness is there any chace we could swap legs?

  20. cliu says:

gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous….am secretly cheering for the dutch despite being married to a german…the german national team does not have the je ne sais quoi of the orange…i have a soft spot for arjen robben's male balding pattern and balletic finesse…

  21. MissB says:

i hope non of the fabulous dutch wags are coming to SA with that dress(as beautiful as it is), they will freeze their cute behinds off.

  22. Merel says:

I was one of the first to have that dress! Very handy when your brother works for Bavaria. And it's a fabulous dress.

Now I will only have to get the Dutch bikini and I am all set. I love my country. Oh yeah.

  23. caitanya says:

For the ump-teenth time, sylvie van der vaart is too cute for words! But does she have a boob job???

  24. KW says:

Who says you can't look good watching football? :D

  25. senora ramos says:

this dress is all WIN! and we can't even get a women's jersey (like mexico). tsk, tsk. love the orange as always. some of the MOST passionate fans of their country in ANY sport!
