International breaks are usually met with blank stares and the desire to ditch Kickette HQ for long lunches that include several bottles of wine. Unless the games mean something or someones gets naked, we struggle to get excited about them.
Which is why we are bringing you a double dose of Would You? today. First, let’s have a look at Manchester United’s newest goalkeeper. With the retirement of Edwin van der Sar, United need to fill the spot between the sticks and they’ve settled on Danish international Anders Lindegaard.
At 26 years young (that’s, like, 18 in goalkeeper years), and standing at an ubiquitous 6’4″, we approve of this transaction. As we match the colour of his lovely blue eyes to a body of water in the Caribbean, tell us if you would, Kickettes?
Next up: Crystal Palace midfielder/Ireland international Owen Garvan. Before we go any further may we remind you of our feelings for men named Owen.

The Dublin native is just 23 y/o, but is already making a name for himself in the English Championship, winning the FA Youth Cup with Ipswich Town in 2005. He’s been compared to Steven Gerrard, and not just in the looks department.
Like Anders, Owen is in possession of a thrilling pair of blue eyes. We’re also quite excited by the thigh situation he’s got going on there.
Our verdict? Yep.

Anders is very definately hot, I cant wait to see him between the sticks at OT. Owen Garvan is ok, and is much much better looking than Steven Gerrard, I see no resemblance there at all.

Gosh Anders is pretty and I have a weakness for goalkeepers*- I definitely think I would (and he's my age you say? Excellent, I don't even have to feel like a dirty old woman for eyeing him)

Anders, yes, without a second thought. Owen, not so much with him.
Having watched Owen Garvan very closely for the past two years, I can assure you that any resemblance to Steven Gerrard is purely in his agent's imagination. However, he's a dark-haired Irish midfielder, and that's always a good thing.
I was tweeting during Ander's first game for United, and all the ladies in my timeline did a "WOAH" when he appeared. No doubt whatsoever he's going to be a favourite United hottie.
Same here. The match chat ground to a halt to fully appreciate his "talents". Thumbs up all around!
Although neither of them would make my personal F5, I certainly wouldn't turn away either of them. I am a sucker for a pretty pair of baby blues.
If you're hottie hunting, I do have a suggestion. Michael Bradley of the USMNT just joined Aston Villa on loan, and while I realize that he's probably not some people's cup of tea, I find him strangely attractive. (By the way, how about another bald post at some point, for all the hairless hotties?)
Since I'm pimping somewhat lesser-known American soccer players (if only I really could, although I'd probably just amass a personal harem), Robbie Rogers (MLS's Columbus Crew) is quite the looker, too.
Honey, I feel you about the Michael Bradley thing. I'm super crazy about that guy. He makes me nervous whenever I see him (mostly on my laptop tho, but still~)
He just has SUCH great passion for, and devotion to, the game! Unfortunately, but amusingly, it sometimes manifests itself in unappreciated words with the refs. In addition to that temper, I find him terribly attractive physically. The fact that he's always so damn serious, rarely smiles, and seems to have such a chip on his shoulder because of his father's position only adds to his appeal in that always unhealthy let-me-help/heal-you sort of way, if that makes sense.

Hope Reina stays in Liverpool this summer and don't transfer to ManU, giving Anders the chance to play some and thus outplay Thomas Sørensen (Stokes second gk) for the Danish NT – that would be a win/win being able to see him play two teams more often, and maybe he can change how gks rarely strip down post game..

Anders is hot & and a good keeper . He did a good job las year when Portugal played against Denmark , even though Demmark lost.

I love Anders! He's actually quite funny, love his interviews. He's very talented aswell and I'm happy to see him in a United shirt. I hope he'll make it and becomes a great keeper!
