Jose was baffled. When he had asked his players to unleash the animal within he had expected lions, tigers and snakes on the training ground. Still, it was a good effort, and the manager was sure that Xabi’s inner cow would prove itself useful eventually.

I read somewhere that Xabi's starting to pick up the nickname 'La Barba Roja' (the red beard) in Spain. I wish he actually had it now so the handle would be justified- though he is gorgeous clean-shaven too, there are just very, VERY few men who can pull off having a beard, and it's a shame to have him beardless under those circumstances.
