Zinedine Zidane: Fashionable Shots

Zizou at NY Fash WeekFashion shows already have a lot going for them: beautiful designs, glamour, front-row side-eyes, etc.

Throw a footballer in the mix and it goes to an entirely new (and hotter) level.

New York fashionistas just happened to get a great combo of footy and fashion this weekend, during the Y-3 show. A large net was lowered to the runway and five models with footballs began taking penalty kicks at a random photographer who was enlisted and thrown in goal.

The crowd went into a further tizzy when designer Yohji Yamamoto pulled Zinedine Zidane out of the crowd and had him take a kick… which was stopped by the photographer/keeper.

Never mind, Zizou, we’re quite sure you looked delish regardless.

Saw a couple videos of it on youtube, Zizou’s shot was not stopped by the photog though it may have been a bit too high for the little guy. I think it would’ve made it under the crossbar on a regulation net. Please don’t besmirch the good Zizou name with such falsehoods. You can always count on me to fly to Zizou’s defense on such matters.

    Haha, that's amazing.

“What are we clapping for?” the guy next to me asked his seatmate. “America,” she snapped.

Surely having five models kicking balls toward your face is a fetish come true for someone out there.

Ahahahaha! Wonder if Zidane missing was the plan?
